Did you know that? More than 20 million Americans have been diagnosed with depression. When I read this message first, I was really astonished. Nowadays, a lot of people have been suffering with depression which is a serious ailment especially when they lack support and console from others. And some of them may even commit suicide finally as a result of the great despair that they suffered for a long time.
In fact, even a person who is really optimistic and positive can also feel disappointed or distressed. It is a kind of natural emotions of human beings. We can not avoid it but we can relieve it, keeping ourselves in mental health. So it is certainly worth knowing the right ways to deal with depression as well as knowing how to be supportive and to offer assistance.
One of the most important things we can do for a depressed person is to be there, giving support or having a talk with him. Very likely he will know there is someone who cares about him and feels confident once again. It is a useful way to support the individual plan by helping them schedule appointment and medical cure, at the same time, we should encourage him to stick it out until he feels refreshed.
Life is not going smoothly all the time. We should face the challenge bravely as well as deal with depression wisely.
